A huge thank you to Citywire for organising another excellent Wealth Manager Retreat and Investment Performance Awards 2026. The event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues across the industry, share ideas and hear insightful presentations from a range of leading fund managers.

We’d also like to extend our thanks to all the asset management groups who hosted tables during the evening, as well as the fund managers who delivered presentations throughout the event. The quality of the discussions and insights shared made the event particularly worthwhile, and we appreciate the time and effort everyone put into making it such a success.
The awards remain an important recognition of investment performance across the wealth management industry, and we were pleased that MAIA was shortlisted in three categories this year: Best Small Firm, recognising boutique firms with less than £1.5 billion in assets under management, Best Cautious Portfolio and Best Balanced Portfolio. While we didn’t take home an award on this occasion, being shortlisted across these categories is encouraging recognition of the work undertaken by our investment team and the strength of our investment approach and performance. The 2026 awards are based on quantitative analysis of performance data over the three years to the end of June 2026. Our success highlights the importance of not only generating attractive total returns, but also managing risk effectively, with the aim of delivering positive long-term outcomes for investors while providing a smoother investment journey.
Having been shortlisted for the Citywire awards in previous years, including last year, it is encouraging to see MAIA continuing to be recognised across multiple categories. While we didn’t take home an award this year, these repeated nominations reflect the dedication of our investment team and the consistency of our approach to managing client portfolios. Our approach remains centred on global, diversified, active multi-asset investing. By blending investment styles, market capitalisations and geographies, we aim to build resilient portfolios that can navigate changing market conditions and deliver positive long-term returns, while carefully managing risk.
Thank you again to Citywire, all the participating asset management groups and the fund managers who contributed to such an engaging and informative event. We look forward to continuing these conversations and attending future events.
